Under the umbrella theme, Be Together, Part of that street party sees Harbingers Drum Crew collaborating with German company Dundu, to create a puppetry spectacle with huge sound and light!

BE in the thick of it

Be together at the world’s best street party and celebrate the New Year in the home of Hogmanay, all hosted by Love Island’s Aftersun DJs, The Mac Twins.

Party under the stars with bands, DJs and street performers from all over the world. Prepare to be entertained from the moment the doors are thrown open at 7.30PM ‘til far into the night as you welcome 2020 in unforgettable fashion.

At midnight, world-famous DJ Mark Ronson will deliver a heart-stopping soundtrack, to which the unforgettable midnight fireworks are choreographed.

The Street Party will end with Louise Marshall piping revellers out.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is proud to be fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity with 50p from every ticket bought going to the charity, when buying your tickets you can also add an additional donation.

Silent Disco in partnership with Silent Adventures

Shhhh.  Silent Disco is back!  

Join the Silent Adventures team on Market Street with their legendary three channel silent disco.  Don a pair of headsets and choose between Guilty Pleasures with DJ James Longworth, Club Classics with DJ Jez Hill or Busting Grooves with the roaming Silent Adventurers.  Can’t decide which you want?  It doesn’t matter as they are all there at just the touch of a button! 

Tickets to the Silent Disco can be purchased at checkout with your Street Party ticket.  

10,000 tickets are available to Edinburgh residents for £20.50 (+ £1 booking fee), 50p from every ticket will be donated to the Brain Tumour Charity. 

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally.  Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. 

The charity provides much needed pastoral care and support to those who receive a brain tumour diagnosis and their families; they work tirelessly to direct a spotlight on the symptoms of brain tumours; and they invest in pioneering research into the causes of brain tumours and to find cures.

Important Information

  • This is an outdoor festival event so please dress for the weather.

  • This is a very busy, all-standing event so please prepared for large crowds and arrange a meeting place with friends.

  • There are three main entrances to the event: Princes Street west end, Princes Street east end and Bank Street.

  • Please note Street Party tickets do not allow access into any other Hogmanay events.

  • No entry after 10:30pm, so please come early!

  • Re-entry is not permitted (ie. leaving the Street Party area and trying to gain re-admittance).

  • No persons under 12 years permitted at the Street Party.

  • Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.

  • *Complimentary Johnnie Walker Premix Highball Cocktail is only available to those 18 years and over with a valid I.D.

  • The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse to serve the Johnnie Walker Premix Highball Cocktail to customers at their discretion if they are inebriated or do not hold a valid I.D.

  • Complimentary Johnnie Walker Premix Highball Cocktail is available subject to stock levels.

  • Alcohol can only be brought into the arena in plastic or metal containers under 500ml.

  • The maximum number of containers you can bring into the Street Party arena is 4 per person.

  • Access to front of stages is on a first come, first served basis.

  • Avoid bringing any bags larger than a sheet of A3 paper (297mm x 420mm)

  • The Event Organiser reserves the right to search Ticket Holder's bags and clothing for security reasons.

  • The Street Party has a strict NO DRONE policy.

  • Edinburgh Residents (EH postcode) discount is only available on purchases of tickets to Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party hosted Johnnie Walker; it is not available on Mark Ronson's Hogmanay in the Gardens combined tickets.
